The East Collaborative is one of the community roundtables of the NELCDC that includes neighborhood association officers, community based organization leaders, faith-based leaders and government agencies. The objective of the East Collaborative is to serve as a communication vehicle to disseminate accurate information and to provide community participation with the NELCDC, where appropriate.

This group collectively has undertaken the Texas Department of Transportation's "Adopt-A-Highway" program as part of its community participation strategy. Clean up days are done on quarterly basis and give the community the opportunity to demonstrate their vested interest in their neighborhood.
