Bank of America provides donation to NELCDC for financial literacy

Bank of America, N.A. held a press conference at 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29 to present North & East Lubbock Community Development Corporation ("NELCDC") with a $10,000 donation for financial literacy training at the south entry of University Plaza , 1901 University Avenue .

According to the Executive Director for the NELCDC, "We are very ecstatic about Bank of America's sustained commitment to the Lubbock community. These resources will allow the NELCDC to reach an additional 100 low-moderate income individuals who want to learn how to take control of their financial situations."

The NELCDC was formed in 2004 to create, facilitate, and promote development in north and east Lubbock . Since its inception, the NELCDC has conducted homebuyer education workshops, facilitated financial literacy trainings, provided pre-purchase housing counseling and helped citizens achieve the American dream of home-ownership.
