The North Collaborative is a community roundtable whose focus is on economic development in the northern quadrant of the city of Lubbock . The goal of the Collaborative is to form a merchant association to assist with County Commissioner Ysidro Gutierrez's initiative to develop a "Mercado" corridor in north Lubbock . The group is also instrumental in recruiting Hispanic clientele to enroll in the NELCDC's Homebuyers Program.
